Most of the naysayers* have put forth collectivist arguments like “the house is a blight on our landscape”, “the owners aren’t the only one that have to look at it”, etc. These arguments suppose that the owner is not, in fact, the person in charge of their own land, their own property, their own aesthetic decisions — instead, it’s the public that has that power.

Please, my dear naysayers: Read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. I am begging you.
